Night in Sliema Marina Hotel
As hotel is south-west facing, the balconies of sea view rooms get the sun from early afternoon until dusk. As we live in a quiet Scottish village we enjoy the contrast of Sliema, which is a bustling seaside town with many shops, restaurants, cafés and bars. Because of its central location and transport links, we find Sliema to be a useful base for exploring the Maltese islands. Also, as this hotel overlooks the Sliema waterfront, with its 6 km (3.8 mile) promenade, when not sightseeing or dining out we love to watch the world go by from our hotel room balcony. As hotel restaurant is on the eighth floor, the panoramic views at breakfast are stunning. We had our first holiday at the Sliema Marina Hotel in 2015 and have stayed there every year since, except during pandemic (2020 & 2021). I have added photos of two views from our room balcony.

Great position of the hotel, very close to the Ferry station for Valletta ferries. Lots of restaurants within walking distance and a lovely promenade across from the hotel. The room we had overlooked the bay, it had a decent sized balcony with table and chairs. The room was spacious and comfortable with enough clothes storage. The shower was over a low sunk bath with curtain shower, not ideal, but manageable. The wifi signal was intermittent and I had to go up one floor to the breakfast room to get a decent wifi connection. The breakfast room had an outside terrace and the breakfast selection was very good, all the usual items of hot and cold food, juices, coffee machine etc.

I stayed in Sliema Marina Hotel for 2 weeks, it was a really nice experience! The staff was very friendly and helpful, I felt well taken care of. They welcomed me with a smile every time, they provided answers to anything that I asked. Breakfast was delicious and the view during eating was amazing, room was spacious enough, bed was comfortable, the housekeeping did an amazing job with cleaning. I would highly recommend choosing this place as its location was perfect for any type of activities. If I ever come back to Malta, I will definitely come to Sliema Marina Hotel! Thank you for having me and providing an excellent service :)

Very safe area, nice shops, supermakets nearby, bus easy to reach and go to every part of the city, The best thing is that only 45 euro / night with breakfast so this was indeed value for money compared to other countries. Cleaning every day, nice bath, samphoo, electric heated tee pot that I used to drink my tea every day, small mini fridge, internat with very good speed for Remote Desktop (RDP) and TV with various news channel.. Quiet and very helpful staf that speak English, breakfast was a delight and had a very good view from the 8th floor. If I come to Malta again I will use this hotel if the price stays the same.

Definitely a value-for-money seafront hotel, if you're not staying in Valletta city centre. Not a new building, but clean and well airconditioned rooms. It is perfectly located just steps away from the all-day ferry which takes you to Valletta (10min time) and also the public transport buses, that take you everywhere on the island. The view from the rooms and the top floor restaurant (also for breakfast), is stunning! Breakfast is more than adequate! Staff is literally of the most polite, friendly and helpful people I've ever met! 5 stars are not really enough for the hotel staff!!!
